This painting is from a photo I took at Topsail Island in North Carolina. A storm was coming in and the blue water was turning a green color right before my eyes. All of the shore birds started gathering in a group at the water’s edge, just as aware as I was, that the atmosphere was shifting. I love the contrast in the colors and the sense of drama in this little painting.
