Curious Cows
The photograph for this painting was taken on my family's farm as the cows were gathering for dinner. How often have we seen them look at us wondering either who we are, or what we were going to feed them? It seems to me that one is more curious, even, than all the others. I can relate. Between that rich blue sky and gorgeous bright green grass is the focal point of the mostly-brown bovine crew in the golden light under the gray green trees. This is one of my favorite paintings.
