Here I’ve painted a huge turquoise blue sky above soft green water. The sailboat reminds me of the first time I went sailing, which was the day after Thanksgiving on the Neuse River in Pamlico Sound. Ours were the only boat on the huge body of water, and it was one of the quietest, most peaceful feeling I have ever experienced. And here it is in a painting. This has to be one of my favorite completed pieces, for that sense of peacefulness.
