This is another small painting in a series of 100 small abstracts I created while working with a palette knife rather than brushes. Turquoise is one of my favorite colors and it makes a bold appearance here, along with the more standard blue; paired with brown and beige, it really sings. I love the movement I was able to suggest with the paint, these colors, and the various ways you can read it. Like most abstracts, each time one looks at this painting, there is freedom to find yet another possible subject matter.
