Georgia's House
On a trip to New Mexico with a friend, we were able to visit Abiquiu, New Mexico where Georgia O’Keeffe’s home is located. A photo from that visit became the inspiration for this abstract painting. It's hard not to be drawn in by the vivid palette of bold orange and blue, in so many rich hues. The texture of the stucco walls, the propped ladder, the pot of flowers on the table: each contributes to the end result that I found most satisfying. The painting asks questions. And not having all the answers can add a fun layer to a completed painting.
