Hereās something Iām not sure Iāve ever shared on my website before. A little back-story about how paintings get madeā¦ sometimes!
As with a few others in the series, I painted from memory, creating the painting from my imagination rather than working from a specific photograph. I had the red poppy painted in, but what background would I use? Looking at my palette, I had leftover paint from another painting I was working on, and the colors would work for my background. So I used it here! Howās that for an artistic choice? Itās quite unlike the others. But itās also quite pretty, to my mind. I hope you like it too. Read more about the series here.
