This is my friend, Julie, enjoying a pleasure walk on the edge of the ocean. Her path moves her along between the blue water and the curving lines of the sandy shore. The vast sky is filled with puffy clouds on an expanse of the rich blue. The painting was part of a series that used Betty Adcock’s poem 'Topsail Island' for inspiration. Don’t you love the sky, the sand dunes and the isolation of that beach? I sure do.
