Icy Morning - Sold

$0.00

Icy Morning is an oil painting created from my imagination, rather than from a photo. It depicts a morning scene that features a snowy road curving through a forest of black brown trees. The tree trunks, stark against the blue and purple foliage, are slim and tall, reaching into a pale yellow sky. These colors complement one another, and it’s somewhat of an abstracted scene. I counted this painting a success because of the sense of quiet stillness achieved, reflecting the atmosphere we feel on an actual winter morning, when the layers of ice and snow blanket the world and block out the usual sounds.

  • Size: 24 x 24 in

  • Medium: Oil on Canvas

  • Subject Matter: Landscape

  • Inventory Number: 321-23
