This was such a fun little painting to create. I don’t often do abstraction, but I had a really good time with this one! I had the poppy painted onto the canvas. Then I put dark spots for the center … like a tree in the left corner. As I painted the poppy, I realized that it looks like little legs hanging over the edge, from the center! As if a tiny being were just sitting there! Hence the ideal of a person in the flower was born. Creative license!
