For many years, my friend Julie grew poppies in her back yard every year. I loved visiting her and enjoying her garden views with her. And I especially enjoyed visiting when her poppies were in bloom. Sometimes I photographed them, and one of those pictures turned into the subject matter for this little painting. Look at their friendly, cheerful little faces and the rich, vivid reds and greens nature gives us during lush seasons. Beautiful.
