The sunrise at the beach is often dramatic but the one seen in this painting was exceptional. There was such bold contrast and rich hues, with the yellow highlight popping out of the orange and the dark blue cloud in front. Then there’s the rich range of deep blue colors of the ocean and the foaming white wave breaking at that very moment. The image was such a perfect scene for this ocean enthusiast painter!
