This abstracted floral painting of pink flowers in a dark blue vase was a tough painting to do. So tough, in fact, that there are two other paintings hidden beneath this one! Yes: sometimes making fine art can be really challenging. And I’ve learned to let pieces go, when necessary. So I painted over it. And then did it again! Abstraction is just hard for me, and this was one of the most difficult. There are times when you just have to dig deep and keep going, and that was definitely me with this painting. In the end I must say I love the way it turned out.
