Poppy Love - Sold
I love to paint poppies! Over the years I have created a number of paintings that focus on this specific beloved flower. Usually I’ve painted them with brushes. This time, however, painting five simple poppies, I chose to use a palette knife. Because of this, there’s lots of texture. The different shades of red suggest depth, and the darkness behind and soft shades of green underneath further enhance the sense of dimension.
