I love this 8 x10 painting. I love the softness of the clouds, and was terribly pleased with the way they turned out, so big and fat. The gentle rain beneath them is also very pleasurable, with the bit of blue sky reemerging as it clears, making way for people to enjoy a great day at the shore. The warm grey water even pleases me. And finally, the texture gives me additional pleasure: that was created by the palette knife marks I left in the paint, adding something just a little bit different than is normally found in my waterscape paintings.
