The Three of Us -Sold
Inspired by a friend’s photo of a perfect sailing day on Puget Sound, I took creative license with the scene and painted it “my way”. I rearranged the boats from the picture for a better composition. The original side-by-side sailboats now create a dynamic trio, each with unique sail positions. The stunning sky pleases me as much as the rippling water, with the dramatic pops of white clouds in the vastness of so much vibrant blue. The memory of my own sailing experience on that very body of water, only one week before, made this a truly special painting and a joy to capture in oils.
