Topsail Island beach is one of my favorite places to vacation. The day I shot this image, I worked really hard to get a photo of a wave breaking, so that I could paint it. This is the result of my favorite image captured that day. I love the green and blue water, plus the form of the wave breaking. So many of my beach and ocean photos include much more in the scene but this one was intentionally focused around that single wave. What a fond memory.
