Useless Bay is in Washington state and is part of Puget Sound. The photo I painted from was captured in the late afternoon after the sun had set and the lights of the land where coming on. I loved the warm color of the sky at the horizon line along with the darkness of the sky overhead. Several colors of blue can be seen in this painting, not only in the sky but also in the reflections on the water. Most of these blues rich and vivid and contrast just beautifully with the white and golden clouds.
